PART 1
TYPING
ANSWERS
Do you prefer typing or handwriting?
(Answer 1)
I prefer the former (the first choice; first mentioned), without a doubt, because I’m good at it. I can type 120 words per minute, which means I can finish typing documents faster, which increases my productivity level. Besides, typing is easier, especially when I make mistakes; I can easily edit them without making so much effort, unlike in handwriting.
(Answer 2)
I prefer the latter (the second choice; second mentioned) since I’m old-fashioned. I enjoy writing in cursive (written with the characters joined), especially when I write letters. It makes me express my creativity and emotions fully through the different handwriting strokes (movements of a pen or pencil when writing).
Do you type on a desktop or laptop keyboard every day?
(Answer 1)
Well, I do both because my work requires me to spend a lot of time typing on either a laptop or keyboard every single day. I type lots of documents for our clients, and because of that, I became a fast typist.
(Answer 2)
I type on a laptop keyboard more than a desktop keyboard because our company provides us with a laptop so we can do our work anywhere and anytime. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I typed something on a desktop keyboard.
When did you learn how to type on a keyboard?
(Answer 1)
If my memory serves me right (if I remember correctly), I learned it when I was a primary schooler, so it’s been more than a decade. We had a computer subject, and our teacher taught us the basic functions of a computer. Also, we had some typing exams at least twice a month, and it was fun because whoever could type fast would get some rewards.
(Answer 2)
It’s still vivid in my memory (to be very clear in one’s mind) the first time I learned typing on a desktop computer at school. I was 10 back then, and our teacher asked us to type ‘A quick brown fox…’ as typing practice. I was as slow as a tortoise (moving or progressing extremely slowly), but of course, that was enjoyable.
How do you improve your writing?
(Answer 1)
As the adage (saying, proverb) goes, ‘Practice makes perfect.’ That’s what I often do. I write essays and poems since that’s my cup of tea (something that one enjoys or excels at). By doing that, I improve my sentence construction, vocabulary, and the organization of ideas. Besides, my critical thinking skills have improved, as well.
(Answer 2)
Frankly speaking, I’m not good at writing; however, I’ve been doing my best lately to improve it by reading books, understanding how ideas are presented in essays, and expressing my ideas coherently. It’s not a piece of cake (something that’s easily achieved), but I’ve noticed that I’ve become expressive with my ideas, and I like it.
