PART 1
FREE TIME / SPARE TIME
Do you often have free time?
(Answer 1)
Absolutely not! My schedule is packed (very busy) with so much work, as my job is pretty demanding. But I do squeeze in (make time for) some downtime whenever possible, so I’ll be able to refresh my mind and avoid burnout. You know, as the saying goes, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
(Answer 2)
Well, it depends! There are days that I’m terribly busy, but other times, I manage to carve out (make) a little free time. I try not to overwork myself as much as possible, because I believe everyone needs a break to recharge (regain energy), but sometimes I just can’t help myself.
What do you usually do in your spare time?
(Answer 1)
I’m a huge bookworm (someone who loves reading), so whenever I have some spare time, I devour (read eagerly) financial books. I aim to achieve financial freedom, so I learned anything that can help me achieve that. Lately, I’ve been reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, and I can’t wait to finish reading it.
(Answer 2)
I’m really into fitness lately, so I hit the gym (go to the gym) or go for a run. It’s my way of destressing (relaxing) myself and improving my physical health. Also, that helps me clear my mind.
Which day do you have more free time on, Saturday or Sunday?
(Answer 1)
Definitely Sunday! I just stay at home and watch movies or TV series that I long to watch during weekdays. Sundays are my lazy days, and of course, I deserve that for working like a dog (working hard) from Monday to Friday.
(Answer 2)
I’d say Saturday because I like to go out with friends, or travel somewhere that can make me feel refreshed. Although I have free time on Sundays, it’s not as great as Saturdays because I normally spend time prepping (preparing) for the week ahead. Sundays are more relaxed, but I often spend my time preparing for the week ahead. With that, I don’t feel as free as on Saturdays.
Would you like to have more free time in the future?
(Answer 1)
Absolutely! Who wouldn’t want to have more free time? These days, I feel like I’m always rushing (moving quickly), making sure that I submit everything before the deadline, and honestly, that’s exhausting (very tiring). It’d be amazing if I could have more time for my loved ones and doing my hobbies.
(Answer 2)
For sure! But recently, I’ve been working so hard on achieving my goal, which is financial freedom. That means I have a long way to go (a lot of work to do or improvements to make) before I can reward myself with more free time. I’m looking forward to having more free time and doing whatever things that can make me feel alive.
